Preparing for Medicare can be an anxious time. Many people seek help when they are ready to apply.
FMS Insurance Advisors will assist you every step of the way to ensure you get the right Medicare options to fit your needs. We will review your Medicare plans during each annual enrollment period and find the most appropriate cost-effective plan for you.
Medicare is the federal health insurance program for people aged 65 or older – and for those who may qualify because of a disability or special circumstance. The Medicare annual enrollment period (AEP) is October 15 to December 7.
Medicare Part A (Hospital Insurance) and Part B (Medical Insurance) are considered original Medicare and are available to all who enroll. Enrollment takes place through your local social security office.
Part C, also called Medicare Advantage, is additional to original Medicare.
Part D, prescription drug coverage, is optional.
Even if you do not plan to retire at age 65 and receive monthly Social Security benefits, be sure to contact Social Security 3 months before your 65th birthday to sign up for Medicare.
